How to get there?

Coming from Frankfurt Airport:

There are some options to go to Heidelberg City:

  • Option 1: Take a train from the German Railway to Heidelberg Main Station (Hauptbahnhof).
  • Option 2: Take the Lufthansa Airport Bus. The bus stops at the Meeting Point in Terminal 1 B 3/Arrivals level. It will take you to the Crowne Plaza Hotel (Kurfürstenanlage 1-3) in Heidelberg (price EUR 22.00). From there, you can take a taxi to the Institute or walk to "Bismarckplatz" (5 minutes) and take bus 31. (see below)
  • Option 3: Use the Airport Transfer and Limousine Service. (TLS; Tel. +49 (0)6221-770077) Depending on which airline you are using, you will be picked up at the Meeting Point at either Terminal 1 or 2. TLS will take you directly to the Institute or any address you have given by booking. Reservation - best until 48 h in advance - with information on the airline and flight number is required (price EUR 34.00).

By bus & tram (VRN)

If you are now in Heidelberg city, you can use the public transportation in Heidelberg (VRN) to go to the workshop. Followings are some information.

  • From "Hauptbahnhof" (main station)
    Tram Number 24 to "Technologiepark", get off at stop: "Bunsen-Gymnasium".
    or
    Bus Number 32 to "Neuenheim/Kopfklinik", get off at stop: "Kopfklinik".
  • From "Bismarckplatz"
    Bus Number 31 to "Sportzentrum Nord", get off at stop: "Kopfklinik"
